Shotgun Suggestions
 

OK I have heard a lot about Remington 870's and Mossberg 500's being good guns for the money. I would like to get some info on the barrel combos.

Lets say I want a versatile package where I can shoot slugs for deer hunting and have something useful for home protection// possibly hunt turkey.

Please advise on how many barrels I need. Thanks.

Remington 870 Express Turkey Camo with 21 inch Vent Rib barrel and a set of 3 chokes: Improved Cylinder for slugs and home defense, Modified for bird hunting, and Turkey Choke for turkey. One shotgun...one barrel.

Or opt for the combo...

I bought a Hastings rifled bbl with cantilevered mount.....put on a 1.5 - 4X scope....use Remington Buckhammer Slugs.....prints 3 inch groups at 100 yrds all day long.

Killed a big 8 point last fall at 100 yards....good to go out to 150 yards. This is a very good deer gun.

I traded a Russian O/U for a Mossberg 500A combo - rifled barrel with scope and smooth bore barrel with chokes. It even has a replaceable cheekrest and gold plated trigger :D
